Chaitrali Sensei’s journey of Japanese language began in 2001 when a well wisher suggested she learn the language. In 2003, she cleared the ‘Nikyuu’ level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) operated by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.

She has been teaching ever since. Over the course of over 15 years, she has taught over 800 students spanning three continents and age groups of 9 to 60.

In 2017, Chaitrali Sensei established Hikari Center for Japanese Language.
